Congratulations, Pras! The range of subjects that you cover are both educative and enjoyable. Filter Coffee is an excellent new addition to our Sunday reading. 🥂
Another classical example to prove how time flies!! 25 episodes have gone by and we didn't even realize it.
It has been a fantastic journey of learning for readers like myself and of course topped up with the great MRP's sense of humor that has become so typical over the years!!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a happy new year and looking forward to many more of such knowledgeable episodes as 2021 rolls in.
Congratulations Pras on passing by the landmark issue # 25. Next week we will be halfway to a year. Hakuna Matata, we will achieve that too and go on and on. More power to your pen Pras.
Most, or better still all, of the word plays on X’mas that you have quoted are new ones that I have come across. I wonder if any of them were your own creations. Won’t be surprised if it is. You have become an acknowledged expert on fun word plays anyway that it comes effortlessly or so it seems.
As for X’mas day. Yes there are a lot of theories and controversies on the actual day of the birth of Christ. One that I am aware of was the difference on account of the date in the earlier Julian calendar. In any case while most countries and churches celebrate Xmas on Dec 25th of the Gregorian calendar, there are some churches who celebrate it on other days.
The important thing is to imbibe the spirit of X’Mas in our lives as is with most other festivals. Christmas is just not about receiving presents. It’s also about giving. Thus it’s about love and expressing love to all those beautiful people in ones lives. It’s also about bonding with one’s families and in the community in general.
May the spirit of X’ Mas live on in our lives and make us better people in the days ahead.
