While I was aware (as most are) of Anne Frank, I was particularly enamored when I learned from your FC of what she wrote on the first page of her diary, especially considering her particular situation. It was also interesting to learn of how you started writing. I agree on your term of milestone for that is what FC #50 is and I am sure there will be several more in store ahead.
I am very impressed to know of the origin of the phrase Rhyme or Reason and also to know of the connection it has to a Children’s book. Your knowledge in these things astound me. Yes rhymes aids recall. I am aware that many still use a rhyme, that we learned in our school day,s to recall (at least when in doubt) the days of the month that goes something like this “30 days of September, April, June….” Even some little children learn ABC by learning a song.
Trust you to come out with a poem on Covid. You way with words never ceases to amaze me. I liked the way you connected the lockdown extension to good rhyme and reason. That, to me, is an example of positive connotation in the use of the phrase!
Beautiful rhyme and beautifully summed up. There need not be a good reason to put up a rhyme! Your golden edition ends with a lilting rhyme and the reason for it is apt!!
Dear brother Pras....a very interesting read of your FC50, marking Golden jubilee number of your post, and your efforts deserve a rich accolade from the reader community!! Congratulations!!
Like Anne's diary, you too confessed to your family on what to do, and they stood by you to guide, direct, make you focus and deliver. They too deserve a pat, who are lucky to you and vice versa.
The Rhyme and reason analogy, which we normally ignore has been well illustrated, making us focus on the "dark spots" in our cognitive ability. The illustrative anecdotes further strengthened the pitch on why we should look at such often use phrases, which pass off as routine. And you proved your hand at poetry too - with Rhyme and Rhythm...well done, my Bangalore Keats!!
Congratulations sir on the Golden Jubilee. An excellent topic- The rhyme-as-reason effect which in Psychology we refer to as the Eaton-Rosen phenomenon is a cognitive bias that makes people more likely to remember, repeat, and believe statements when those statements contain a rhyme. a good technique to make our message more persuasive.
I hadn't thought of 52. Thank you. It could be the anniversary edition! OMG. Thank you Amba.

As always your comments are so relevant and they resonate with the FC topic. Thank you Shahji for being my source of inspiration.
I write this both for the rhyme and for a reason
Fc 50 is no ordinary feat
It has now become my Sunday morning treat
The day I missed I would feel incomplete
Had it not been for carona, I would come around and meet
And for a drink we would go, to the pub across the street.
And ask the barman Pete to give us a repeat
if we could stand and still be on our feet,
we would find a place to go and eat.
Well done Pras, you have set a record,
not easy to beat.
Wow! Outstanding rhyming review and you are difficult to beat.

Awaiting your next
and surely will be better than your best
Thanks Krupa.
You have a way with words. The first writing in the diary by Anne Frank was new. Something to learn always from FC. Looking forward to the 52nd!
Thank you Rama

Enjoyed that. It’s amazing how you pick up on the seemingly insignificant and make them impressively significant!
