Thanks Pras .. as always well written .. brings the festival ‘alive’ for so many I’m sure. Have had the good fortune to see the Mysore palace in all its glory during Dasara ..& Chamundeshwari Temple .. truly something not to be missed.
Vividly and beautifully written about our Mysore Dasara. The memories are so vivid that I went back many years to relive the splendour and grandeur of Dasara celebrations. Thankyou Pras for rekindling the the the youthful joys! A very joyous festive gaiety to you and Geeta .I will send you a picture of my puja nook!!
Thank you Prasanna for this Sunday's Filter Coffee. For me, the most interesting part was that you were personally witness to some of the festivities and grandeur of the Mysore Dasara as a child! I also visited the link to the Mysore State Anthem, listened to it and enjoyed the measured musical harmony of a song that brings alive devotion along with the heritage of the past.
Loved reading the history of Mysore and its glory.
Happy Dasara!
Thanks

Thank you Rahul. Much appreciated
Thanks Pras. Was informative and useful. Though I am a kashmiri my wife is closely connected to Mysore as her mother is a Poorniya.
I so remember the beauty of the Mysore Palace in all its magnificence.
