THANKS BRO. Can I add a few more aspects of freemasonry.
1. The brethren use the tolls of sending mason to bring the facts to the attention of thenewly iniated mason.
2. We believe in making good men better. Therefore we believe that good men can be made better. In other words men always have something that Can be made better . NO MAN IS PERFECT.
3.. ouMOST OF our collections come from within the brethren.
4. THROUHOUT HISYORY we have had mem of great eminence as freemasons.
5. We also strongly believe that having food together can build relationships between masons.
first of all, a super pic indeed! you look regal in that Gurugale.
Freemasons and Freemasonry is so private that even members dont discuss the membership openly and the websites gives less information. Not much information in public domain too.
In this background, this Filter Coffee cup has been informative, interesting and intriguing ..
Pras, this is the first time some one has shared so much information about Free Masonary. I read it with great interest. My father too was a member and seldom spoke about it. He avoided my childlike curiosity and I grew up believing that it was akin to the Klu Klux Klan given its secretiveness. And for what reason ?
I was surprised to learn that Free Mason’s society is one among the oldest societies dating back to 1717. Surely there is something of value that has helped this movement to sustain so long. That being said, its core values should be made available freely to promote greater friendship among the peoples of the world. The next edition of Filter Coffee could be dedicated to lifting the veil of mystery of the movement.
Thanks Pras for the informative post about Freemasonry. Though I had read about this earlier in some news items, but it looked like as if it's some sort of secretive society. But after reading this, it is clear that Freemasons practices good values and are doing useful work for the society. Thanks once again for enlightening us.
My father in law was a free mason He died in 1983 He was very secretaive and though as son in law he wanted to include but on second thoughts left the idea
I used to wonder what is it all about
He was Babajis incarnation we never knew it
Many years after his death we came to know about his books Since 50’years had passed those who were using it came and took our permission to write print it we now get a lac of rupees in year as Royalty which my wife spend on charity in his name
I'm so relieved to read this. Though intellectually I knew you could not be a part of something strange, ritualistic and ungodly, it's good to have it described in detail.
Wow! That is the mostest info I have got on Freemasons in all my life. It must have evolved from the stonemason guilds of old. My father had a friend who was a Freemason (this was in Bombay). He said it was a closely held membership with ceremonial events, only men, and non-members could not take part in anything. It seems to have moved on quite a bit since then. And Prasanna, you look grand in the Freemason regalia!
Thanks Prasanna, you inspired me to become one:)
Bro Prasanna
Very well enunciated. It will dispel the cloak and dagger and other myths people may have about Freemasonry.
Please Read as tools of masons instead of tolls in 1 below and in 3 below please do read as most instead of oumost

Thank you Pramod. Much appreciated
Thanks Pras. You opened the doors and windows of the Lodge. Somehow we never learnt what Freemasons do while all of us are aware of Rotary and Lions.
Thanks for throwing some light on something which was a black box to me.
A few free masons I have known have only added to this mysterious aura.
And on a lighter note, Fee masons always show up with mysterious bills!!!

I thought I will share !
Wow! That’s incredible. Please send me the link to the book. Your wife should consider giving part of the Royalty to the Masonic Trust.

Thank you Nisha. I've redeemed myself in your mind 😀
