I managed to catch Juptier & Saturn cheek to cheek, in the south-west sky with my bare eyes which didnt matter compared to the enormity of the celestial event. Loved reading about friendship. Some honest truths in that ..
Amazing write-up! The article on rare alignment of Jupiter & Saturn is so informative. Unfortunately I missed to experience this beautiful view on that particular day because of the lucid city lights. I truly appreciate what you've penned though.
It's indeed impressive the way you've elucidated friendship & friends. I love those quotes in between which augmented my reading experience and made me feel more connected. The amplification of fair-weather friend and friend in need is so on point.
Also the ending story telling us to forget bad things and remember good things of our friend? Very nice!
The astrogical event of the alignment of Saturn and Jupiter is indeed a rare event. Sadly, much as I tried to get a view, the well-lit skies in the city where I was at the time, prevented me from having any view of the occasion.
I remember reading with much care and attention the weekly “what the stars foretell” that used to appear in the newspapers (or was it magazine) in my school days. I did check out what astrology predictions for 2021. I read the forecast for 2021 at Ganeshaspeaks.com. The site said that 2021 promised good times ahead but I wonder now with the new covid strain that has hit UK. I hope it will soon be great times ahead. One bad year is manageable but two, that too at a stretch, could be unbearable.
The piece on friends in this edition was truly very true. The part of fair weather friends is something that we all may have had many past experiences of and which really hurts us particularly if it comes from a person that we least expected it from. But we need to grin and bear it. That’s life. The story about the two friends walking in the desert was indeed very inspiring. I do hope that we will have the ability to write in stone the good experiences we have with a friend.
It was great to read the article from Abhay! Indeed a celestial event considering it happens once in a lifetime. I was calculating how old one would be when it is due to occur again towards the fag end of the century and the bitter truth dawned that one might not even be alive by then!
With the pandemic continuing to rage hard life has literally become a bubble. Spending time with people whom we love and especially with good friends who care for us should be high on the agenda considering the stark uncertainties that we face.
