And it’s a double ton!! Time to raise the bat for a huge round of applause!! What a topic to mark the milestone coming from a person who is known as a messiah not only to the immediate family but to the community at large!! Whether it is your mentoring young achievers or Geetha aunty's invaluable tryst with the deaf and dumb children kindness is something that oozes in your veins!! I am proud to be associated so closely with somebody who has been selfless all through and has followed the family lineage of "giving" in letter and spirit!!

Here's to many more such lovely episodes of Filter Coffee!!

Congratulations on a wonderfully brewed double century, Pras! I have enjoyed each edition. Together, they add up to a unique set of essays, on subjects very few could have taken up.

Take fresh guard, and carry on! 👏👏👏

Awesome milestone Pras! Admire your commitment.

Two ingredients that are essential to be kind and empathitic - detachment (it's not about me, outcomes and judgement) and universal love (see divinity/connect in everything). While these two may seen as opposites at one level, they are two sides of the same coin.

Teamwork inherently needs kindness. The question one needs to ask is - How can I contribute to make it easier for all my team mates.

Kudos on your 200th blog post! I can only dream of doing something like you have in keeping FC a steaming and welcoming cuppa every Sunday morning.

I recall poet William Wordsworth’s words to describe a person’s kindness as “…little nameless unremembered acts of kindness and of love.” That, to me, is the hallmark of a kind person, someone who gives of time, goods, wisdom, comfort in so many different ways that are maybe not even remembered.

Achieving a milestone of 200 weekly blogs uninterrupted is a remarkable feat. Speaks volumes about your dedication, consistency, and passion. Not to forget high quality content. With 200 blogs under your belt, you must be on a auto mode with an ability to write in your sleep ! Great going Pras, keep at it up my friend !!

To me personally, your blog 200 on Kindness provided me a window seat on a train journey down memory lane. The question that gripped me was whether my twenty two years of NGO work to better the education standards of rural poor children materialistic or altruistic ? The numbers spoke for itself. One school in Nachanahalli Palya slum and sixty children in 2002 to 1200 schools and two lakh children as of today qualified me a berth in altruism. The returns from acts of kindness is immeasurable if you stay invested in the long term. Thank you for Pras, for your kindness to help me take stock of my own life.

Just joined this blog and find the writing thought provoking. Thank you for sharing these!

Interesting points on what defines kindness.

Just some additional thoughts … there can also be a distinction made between an act of kindness and a kind person, and whether both go hand in hand.

In some instances this definition can also be based on the disseminator and the receiver of such acts. A perceived need by the disseminator may not be of priority to the receiver and therefore the act becomes one-sided then.
